During university years, I have been greatly influenced by the existentialist philosophy, particularly of Martin Heidegger. Hence my explorations in the realm of art have always been in the area of the sense of being, feeling alive, being consciously aware of the existence. Being, time, memory, freedom, the choices, and the consequences. There's always a multitude of contexts in the existence, we find sadness in the happier moments, and we still cherish those painful ones, that are important to us, as they define us as who we become, a part of our being. As we age, we learn to see life in all its complex multifaceted experience. These are the themes I try to portray in my works.

The human being is not the lord of beings, but the shepherd of Being.
— Martin Heidegger
